I just finished reading “Thelonious Monk – The Life and Times of An American Original” by Robin D. G. Kelley. This inspired me to pick up some more of Monk’s albums, so I’ve recently been into Thelonious Monk/Sonny Rollins (Prestige) and Straight, No Chaser / Underground / Criss-Cross / Monk’s Dream / Solo Monk (Columbia Original Classics)
Besides that, I’ve also been listening to:
